MELBOURNE - Apr 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high centred over the southeast of the State is moving slowly east to northeastwards to be over central New South Wales Sunday and the Tasman Sea Monday. A front is expected to move over the west and far south of the State on Monday, leaving a low pressure trough to move across the northeast of the State on Tuesday and early Wednesday. Another high will develop over the Bight on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPossible isolated light showers about the Lower South East coast. Light winds.Sunday 20 AprilPossible isolated light showers about southern coasts. Patchy rain developing in the far southeast during the late afternoon or evening. Early morning fog patches possible over Eyre Peninsula and about the ranges north of Balaklava, mainly western slopes. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north and west. Light winds, becoming moderate to fresh northerly in the far west.Monday 21 AprilPatchy rain over the far southeast. Possible isolated showers over the remainder of southeast and about southern and western coasts. Warm with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, strong at times in the south, ahead of a cooler moderate south to southwesterly change reaching a line Robe to Adelaide to Tarcoola late evening.Tuesday 22 AprilIsolated showers about the agricultural area and west coast, more likely about south central and southeastern parts. Mild, grading to warm in the far north. Mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds.Wednesday 23 AprilPossible isolated light showers over the Southern Agricultural Area. Mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Mainly light winds tending moderate northwesterly about southern coastal districts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm over the Lower South East district.Thursday until SaturdayPossible isolated showers about southern coastal districts. Generally mild.
