Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front has weakened in the northeast and a high pressure system near Adelaide is extending a ridge across western New South Wales. This ridge is forecast to remain the dominant feature in the region during the next couple of days, until a weak trough moves across the state Tuesday and Wednesday with very little rainfall expected.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine and clear apart from the chance of a late evening shower or two on the Mid North Coast. Southeast to southwesterly winds becoming light. Dangerous surf conditions.Sunday 20 AprilFine and mostly clear apart from the chance of a shower or two along the coastal fringe in the far north. Early frost patches about the ranges and slopes, particularly in the southeast. A few early fog patches in the east. Light to moderate southwesterly winds, tending northeasterly along the northern coast in the afternoon. Dangerous surf conditions easing during the morning.Monday 21 AprilFine apart from the chance of showers along the coastal fringe in the south. Early frost patches about the tablelands. Mostly sunny. Light and variable winds inland, tending northeast to southeasterly near the coast.Tuesday 22 AprilFine apart from isolated showers near the Victorian border. Northwest to northeasterly winds, turning southwesterly in the southwest later.Wednesday 23 AprilIsolated showers in the far southeast. Fine remainder. Warm day for the northern inland. Northwest to northeast winds before a southerly change extends through the west and south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Sunday.Product IDN10031
