Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 16/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak trough of low pressure west of Kangaroo Island will slide southeastwards today. A cold front will move across the agricultural area on Friday followed by a ridge of high pressure extending over the State on the weekend. A second cold front is expected to move over the west and far south of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayEarly morning fog patches mainly over the southern agricultural area and west coast. Possible isolated light showers about southern coasts. Mild in the south, warm inland. Light and variable winds, tending moderate northwest in the south, ahead of a moderate westerly change over Eyre Peninsula in the afternoon and central agricultural districts in the evening.Friday 18 AprilIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts in the morning, tending scattered early in the Lower South East, clearing from the south during the afternoon and throughout by evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Light winds, tending moderate westerly over central and eastern agricultural districts ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest change during the day.Saturday 19 AprilPossible isolated light showers over the south of the Lower South East. Early morning fog patches in the east and over the west coast. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the far northeast. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning to midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm, increasing to 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts.Sunday 20 AprilPossible isolated showers about southern coasts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north and west. Light and variable winds, tending moderate to fresh northerly in the far west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning to midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers over southern and far western coasts, extending over the agricultural area and possibly the south of the pastorals on Tuesday, contracting to the Lower South East on Wednesday. Warm with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, ahead of a cooler southerly change, then becoming light and variable later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
