Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 15/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
Ex tropical cyclone Ita over the southern Coral Sea will move to the southeast today and deepen rapidly as a high pressure system southeast of Tasmania extends a ridge over NSW. The ridge will dominate the weather over NSW before a cold front crosses far southern parts of the state on Friday. Another high pressure system is expected to move over NSW from the west over the weekend, promoting fine, cool conditions.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers along the coast, clearing in the south early. Isolated showers possible over the remainder of the northeast, mostly in the afternoon. Mostly sunny remainder. Early fog patches in the east. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh along the coast.Thursday 17 AprilThe chance early showers along the central and northern coastal fringe. Patchy morning fog in the east. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southwest winds.Friday 18 AprilIsolated showers in the far southeast. Patchy morning fog in the east. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwest winds.Saturday 19 AprilPartly cloudy. Early fog patches in the east. South to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.Product IDN10031
