Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 15/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near Tasmania will move southeastwards to be south of New Zealand by Wednesday night. A weakening front may reach southern coastal parts Wednesday night or early Thursday. A second cold front will move across the agricultural area on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayMostly clear. Cool to cold in the southeast overnight, cool to mild elsewhere. Mainly light southeast to northeast winds.Wednesday 16 AprilEarly morning fog patches mainly over the West Coast district and Eyre Peninsula. Cloud increasing over the south with possible light showers developing south of Adelaide and Keith during the afternoon. Mild to warm. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 17 AprilPossible isolated light morning showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast. Early morning fog patches mainly over agricultural areas. Mild in the south, warm inland. Generally light winds.Friday 18 AprilIsolated showers developing over the southern agricultural area in the morning, possibly reaching the northern agricultural area late morning, contracting to the north and clearing during the afternoon and evening. Possible isolated showers returning to the Lower South East coast late in the evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to mild to warm in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southerly change over the south during the morning.Saturday 19 AprilIsolated showers south of about Adelaide and Keith. Mild. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds in the south, turning light southeast to northeasterly winds over the Pastoral districts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday to midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm, increasing to 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts.Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers persisting south of about Adelaide and Keith, possibly extending over remaining agricultural areas Monday afternoon, all contracting southwards and clearing early next week. Mild with mainly light winds becoming mild to warm as winds turn northerly over western parts of the State early next week.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
