MELBOURNE - Apr 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea and ex tropical cyclone Ita well off the southern Queensland coast will both continue to move to the southeast over the next couple of days while a high pressure ridge strengthens across NSW. The ridge is expected to remain the dominant feature over the state for the next few days. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, becoming widespread along the central part of the coast later in the day. Isolated afternoon showers and possible thunderstorms about the northern inland during the afternoon, more likely near the Queensland border. Fine elsewhere. Isolated early fog patches in the east. South to southeasterly winds, fresh along the coast. Dangerous surf conditions along the far north coast.Wednesday 16 AprilIsolated showers in the east, tending scattered about the coastal fringe over the central parts during the morning. Patchy morning fog in the east. Fine elsewhere. South to southeast winds.Thursday 17 AprilThe chance of morning showers along the central and northern coastal fringe. Patchy morning fog in the east. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southwest winds.Friday 18 AprilThe chance of showers over the far southern ranges and slopes. Patchy morning fog in the east.
