Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system located over the Tasman Sea is expected to move slowly southwards. A high pressure system over the south Tasman Sea extends a ridge across Tasmania to another high over waters south of the Bight. The high south of the Bight is moving east southeastwards and is expected to pass just to the south of Tasmania on Tuesday. The high will reach the south Tasman Sea on Wednesday whilst extending a ridge northwards across Victoria. A cold front will approach reach western Victoria on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine apart from isolated showers over Gippsland. Generally light to moderate southeast to southerly winds.Monday 14 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches, and isolated showers in Gippsland. Cool to mild with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Tuesday 15 AprilEarly fog patches. Isolated showers over southern and mountain districts, scattered along the Gippsland coast. Cool to mild with light to moderate south to southeast winds.Wednesday 16 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches and isolated showers in the east. Cool to mild with light winds.Thursday 17 AprilFine apart from the chance of showers in the far east.
