Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extending across the Bight towards Tasmania will persist through to late this week. A front will move across the south of the Sate on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayPossible isolated light showers about the far west coast and the east coast of Kangaroo Island later tonight, otherwise fine. Light to moderate southerly winds, locally fresh at times near the coasts in the afternoon.Monday 14 AprilIsolated light showers about the far west of the West Coast district with possible isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and southern extents of the peninsulas. Local early morning fog patches about the southern agricultural area and the West Coast district, west of Ceduna. Warm in the far northeast, mild elsewhere. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, becoming locally fresh near the coasts.Tuesday 15 AprilPossible isolated light morning showers about the far southern coast. Local early morning fog patches in the Lower South East district and the West Coast district, west of Ceduna. Warm in the far northeast, mild elsewhere. Light to moderate southeasterly winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 16 AprilEarly morning fog patches in the Lower South East district and possibly in the west of the West Coast district. Mild to warm. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 17 AprilFine. Mild in the south grading to warm inland. Light to moderate northerly winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southerly change extending throughout during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Friday until SundayIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area early Friday morning, clearing during the afternoon and evening then re-developing about southern coasts on Saturday. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm inland. Light to moderate northerly winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southerly change during the Friday, tending southeast to southwest on Saturday and northeasterly in the west on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Monday.Product IDS10033
