MELBOURNE - Apr 11/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system located off the New South Wales south coast will move slowly away to the east today and Sunday, while a high pressure system develops to the south of Perth. On Monday the high will move steadily eastwards across waters south of the Bight and will extend a ridge across Tasmania. The high will move south of Tasmania on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayShowers over Gippsland and about the Otway Ranges. Isolated showers over remaining southern and mountain areas. Fine over the north. Cool to mild with generally moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger - Low to moderate.Sunday 13 AprilScattered showers over Gippsland. Fine over remaining southern and mountain districts and in the north. Cool with light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coast and about the eastern ranges.Monday 14 AprilIsolated showers in Gippsland. Fine over the remainder. Cool to mild with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Tuesday 15 AprilEarly fog patches. Isolated showers in southern and mountain districts, scattered in Gippsland.
