Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 7/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is over the south Tasman Sea. A slow moving trough of low pressure over the Bight and South Australia is expected to cross Victoria on Thursday and Friday whilst a high pressure system passes well to the south of Tasmania.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers over western districts extending to central districts during the day. Showers tending to areas of rain across the west during the day. Mostly dry over the east. A mild to warm and cloudy day with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes in Gippsland.Fire Danger -  Low to Moderate.Wednesday 9 AprilScattered showers tending to rain at times over the northwest with some heavy falls possible. A mild and cloudy day with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, tending fresh southeasterly along the coast with seabreezes.Thursday 10 AprilAreas of rain over the northwest extending to most areas during the day. Isolated thunderstorms possible in the northwest. A mild day with moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds.Friday 11 AprilRain areas contracting eastwards, scattered showers to follow. Isolated thunderstorms possible in the far north. Generally mild with east to northeast winds over central and eastern districts, but southwesterly winds developing over the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
