Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system east of Tasmania will move across the southern Tasman Sea on Monday. A low pressure system over the Bight late on Monday will weaken to a trough on Tuesday that will extend to western Bass Strait. The trough will dissipate early Wednesday as the next high pressure system moves to the south of Tasmania. Another low over the Bight early Thursday will approach western Victoria late in the day.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over Gippsland clearing this evening. Light to moderate southeasterly winds, locally fresh near the coast.Monday 7 AprilEarly inland fog patches clearing to a mostly sunny morning. High cloud increasing from the west in the afternoon with the chance of isolated showers over the southwest at night. Otherwise a warm day with light to moderate east to northeast winds and milder afternoon seabreezes developing along the Gippsland coast.Tuesday 8 AprilIsolated showers developing from the west and tending to areas of rain over the southwest. A mild to warm day with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 9 AprilScattered showers easing over eastern districts with isolated showers possible over remaining districts. Showers mostly clearing in the late afternoon or evening over most districts but patchy rain rain developing over the northwest later in the day. A mild day with light to moderate east to southeasterly winds, freshening along the coastal fringe.Thursday 10 AprilAreas of rain over the northwest extending across the State during the day. Isolated thunderstorms possible in the northwest. A mild day with moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Monday.Product IDV10310
