MELBOURNE - Apr 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad low pressure trough over northeast New South Wales will weaken during Sunday as a high pressure system moves near Tasmania and extends a ridge across the state. This high will move over the southern Tasman Sea on Monday strengthening the ridge along the coast. The next trough is expected to move over the western parts of the state on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the eastern half, scattered about parts of the coast at first, and clearing from the southern inland by early afternoon. Showers becoming scattered in the northeast, with afternoon thunderstorms. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early fog patches in the east. South to southeasterly winds.Monday 7 AprilIsolated showers about the northern and central parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, clearing from the south during the morning. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Early fog patches in the east. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 8 AprilThe chance of early showers on the north coast. Late showers developing in the far west. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Early fog patches in the east. Northeast windsWednesday 9 AprilIsolated showers developing along the coast, becoming scattered about the coastal fringe in the south later. Isolated showers in the far west.
