Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 30/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
An offshore low is expected to remain slow moving in the western Tasman tonight and tomorrow, while a fairly feeble ridge extends across western and southeastern parts of the state. This weak pressure pattern is then expected to remain a feature of the region into the new week. The next front/trough system is expected to cross the state from the west during Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms on and east of the ranges this evening, more likely in the south. Mostly clear int he west. South to southeasterly winds, tending easterly inland.Monday 31 MarchAreas of morning fog int he east. Isolated showers in the northeast, tending scattered in the far northeast. The chance of afternoon thunderstorms over the northern inland. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 1 AprilIsolated showers in the north and far southern ranges. Possible afternoon thunderstorms over the northern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeasterly winds.Wednesday 2 AprilIsolated showers across the state, tending scattered over the western slopes and plains. The chance of thunderstorms over the central inland. Northerly winds ahead of a southwesterly change in the southwest during the day.Thursday 3 AprilIsolated showers across the state, tending scattered over the southwestern slopes and plains. The chance of thunderstorms across central and southern parts.
