Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 29/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge extends across South Australian coastal areas and is expected to move eastwards reaching the Tasman Sea on Sunday. A trough of low pressure will over western parts of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMorning fog patches over the agricultural area and West Coast district. Possible isolated early morning showers about the Mid North district. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms developing on and east of the Ranges south of Hawker, mainly in the afternoon. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north. Mainly light winds and moderate afternoon sea breezes.Sunday 30 MarchDry and warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds.Monday 31 MarchAreas of mid level cloud with possible isolated showers and thunderstorms in the west, gradually extending eastwards during the day then mostly clearing in the evening. Warm to hot grading to very hot in the northeast with moderate to fresh northerly winds in the north and east ahead of a milder southerly change in the west.Tuesday 1 AprilAreas of mid level cloud with possible isolated showers and thunder in the west extending eastwards to reach Coober Pedy to Renmark by late evening. Warm to hot ahead of a milder southerly change in the west extending east to reach Mt Gambier to Woomera in the evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with isolated falls of 2 to 15 mm with thunderstorms.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers extending over the state during Wednesday and early Thursday before contracting to the far northeast and southern coasts by late Thursday, then clearing during Friday. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds extending throughout on Wednesday then becoming moderate easterly on Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
