Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 23/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough over northeastern New South Wales will move west during Tuesday as a high pressure system moves over the southern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. The trough will deepen in the north during Wednesday and then it is expected to weaken on Friday as the high strengthens the ridge throughout the state.
Forecast for the rest of SundayPartly cloudy in the southern inland and in the far northwest. Isolated showers or thunderstorms elsewhere. South to southwest winds tending northeast to northwest in the northeast of the state.Monday 24 MarchScattered showers in the eastern and central parts tending widespread in the northeast with possible local moderate to heavy falls. Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Partly cloudy in the west. Generally east to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 25 MarchScattered showers in the east with rain ares on the southern half of the coast with possible local moderate falls. The chance of thunderstorms in the northern and central parts. Partly cloudy in the far west. Easterly winds throughout.Wednesday 26 MarchRain and the chance of thunderstorms in the northwest. Scattered showers elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds.Thursday 27 MarchRain and the northeast. Scattered showers elsewhere. The chance of thunderstorms in the west.
