Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high pressure system over the Bight will give way to a cold front, expected to move through Bass Strait later on Sunday. A stronger high pressure system will develop over the Bight on Sunday night then move slowly eastwards, reaching the Tasman Sea by late Tuesday. An inland trough will extend over northern Victoria on Tuesday, moving westwards on Wednesday as the high strengthens in the Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine apart from isolated coastal showers. Cool to mild with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, fresh at times during the afternoon.Fire Danger -  High in the north.Monday 24 MarchCool and partly cloudy with isolated showers on and south of the ranges. Dry, mild and mainly sunny over the north. Generally moderate southerly winds.Tuesday 25 MarchIsolated showers in the southeast. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the north and northwest. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Wednesday 26 MarchIsolated showers extending to most districts, with the chance of thunderstorms in the north. Mild to warm day with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Sunday.Product IDV10310
