Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough lies across northwestern and southeastern New South Wales. During Tuesday the trough will move move westwards as a high pressure system moves east of Tasmania extending a ridge to the north coast. This high is expected to be slow-moving over the southern Tasman Sea for the next few days and the trough is expected to persist over the western parts of the state.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPartly cloudy in the southern inland and in the far northwest. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast, with southeast to southwesterly winds elsewhere.Sunday 23 MarchPartly cloudy in the southern inland and in the far northwest. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. South to southwest winds, with north to northeasterly winds about the far northeast of the state.Monday 24 MarchIsolated showers in the eastern and central parts tending scattered in the northeast with isolated afternoon thunderstorms. Partly cloudy in the west. Generally east to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 25 MarchScattered showers in the east tending scattered over the central parts with the chance of thunderstorms in the north. Partly cloudy in the far west. Easterly winds throughout.Wednesday 26 MarchIsolated showers in most districts.
