Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over northeastern New South Wales will deepen later today in response to an upper level trough moving through. The surface trough will weaken during Thursday as a high pressure system moves over the southern Tasman Sea extending a ridge across the state. The next trough is expected to move over the the central and western parts of the state during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPartly cloudy in the far southwest and in the far northwest. Isolated and thunderstorms elsewhere. East to southeast winds.Thursday 20 MarchIsolated showers about the east and northeast as well as the northern inland. Showers tend scattered about the northern coast. Chance of thunderstorms in the north and northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeast winds.Friday 21 MarchChance of isolated showers across much of the state, mainly about the far northeast. Partly cloudy in the far southwest. Chance of thunderstorms about the central inland. East to northeast winds.Saturday 22 MarchChance of isolated showers across much of the state, mainly over the coastal districts. Partly cloudy in the far southwest. Northwest to northeast winds, tending south to southeast in the south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Wednesday.Product IDN10031
