Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will move across southern Victoria on Wednesday, reaching the Tasman Sea by Thursday. A cold front will cross Victoria on Friday then another will approach western Victoria on Saturday night.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated light showers on and south of the ranges, fine in the north. Light to moderate westerly winds, fresh at times along the coast.Wednesday 19 MarchFine apart from isolated showers in the south, clearing from the west. Mild to warm with light to moderate southerly winds.Fire Danger -  Moderate to high.Thursday 20 MarchFine apart from morning fog patches. Mild to warm and mainly sunny with light to moderate northerly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Friday 21 MarchIsolated showers developing along the western and central coasts. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible in the northeast. Warm to hot with moderate northerly winds shifting cooler southerly in the southwest.Saturday 22 MarchFine apart from the chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the east. Mild to warm with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Wednesday.Product IDV10310
