Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak front will extend across the southern agricultural area on Tuesday. A high west of Perth will move east to be centred near Kangaroo Island on Wednesday morning and over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A southerly change is expected to move across the far west later on Thursday and the remainder of the west and south of the State on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts during the evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to northwesterly winds in the south and light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds in the north.Tuesday 18 MarchEarly fog patches in the west and over the Flinders Ranges. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area and possibly over the northern agricultural area, tending scattered over southern coasts and ranges during the afternoon. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north, with mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 19 MarchEarly fog patches over the agricultural area and isolated early light showers near southern coasts, then a fine day. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north and west with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 20 MarchFine apart from early fog patches over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Warm in the south grading to hot in the north and west, with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, ahead of a fresh southerly change developing in the far west.Friday 21 MarchPossible isolated showers near southern and far western coasts. Warm in south and hot elsewhere with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, ahead of a milder, fresh southerly change extending across the west and south. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon to midnight Friday are expected to be up to 2 mm over the agricultural area, reaching 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area, with local falls of 5 to 10 mm about southern coasts and ranges.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers about western and southern coasts, extending over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, then contracting to southern coasts later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
