MELBOURNE - Mar 16/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation Weak cold fronts will cross southern Victoria during Monday and Tuesday. A high pressure system will form over the Bight on Tuesday then move across southern Victoria later on Wednesday before reaching the Tasman Sea on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers, scattered about most southern and mountain areas in the afternoon, although mainly dry over East Gippsland. Mild and mostly cloudy with moderate to fresh west to northwesterly winds easing this afternoon and tending southwesterly over southern areas.Fire Danger - Moderate to HighTuesday 18 MarchIsolated showers, scattered in parts of the southwest and central areas, although fine over East Gippsland. Mild with light to moderate westerly winds, fresh at times along the coast.Wednesday 19 MarchFine in the north. Isolated showers in the south contracting to East Gippsland during the afternoon. Mild with light to moderate southerly winds.Thursday 20 MarchFine.
