MELBOURNE - Mar 15/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front crossed Victoria Saturday night and will move out over the Tasman Sea this morning however a cool unstable westerly airflow will persist over the State for the remainder of Sunday. Another weaker cold front will cross the State during Monday and yet another will brush the Victorian coast on Tuesday. A small high pressure system will form over the Bight on Tuesday then move across southern Victoria later on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers extending throughout by the afternoon and tending scattered near the coast and about southern ranges before contracting to the southwest tonight. Cool to mild and partly cloudy with moderate to fresh west to northwesterly winds.Fire Danger - High, locally very high in the north.Monday 17 MarchIsolated showers mainly on and south of the ranges. Mild with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 18 MarchIsolated showers on and south of the ranges. Fine in the north. Mild to warm with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 19 MarchFine apart from coastal showers.
