Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low will move south of the State over the weekend. An associated cold front will move across central and eastern parts on Saturday, with cooler, fresh to strong southwesterly winds following the front. A second front will move across the south of the State on Monday morning, followed by another high.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over all but the far north. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds ahead of a cooler, fresh to strong southwesterly change extending from the west to reach the northeast corner in the evening.Sunday 16 MarchIsolated showers over the agricultural area increasing to scattered showers over coasts and ranges south of Clare during the morning, then again over Kangaroo Island and Lower Eyre Peninsula late evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.Monday 17 MarchIsolated showers over the agricultural area, tending scattered south of Adelaide during the morning. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest winds in the south and moderate southeast winds in the north.Tuesday 18 MarchFine apart from isolated showers over southern coasts and ranges. Mainly mild to warm with moderate southwesterly winds turning southeasterly in the west during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning through until midnight on Tuesday are expected to be up to 5 mm, increasing to 5 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area, with local falls of 10 to 20 mm about southern coasts and ranges.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers clearing from southern coasts and ranges early Wednesday morning. Fine on Thursday, then possible isolated showers developing about coastal districts on Friday. Mild initially with southeasterly winds, then gradually becoming warm to hot late as the winds turn northeast to northwesterly late in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
