Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front crossing the Bight will reach southwestern Victoria later on Saturday morning, then extend eastwards across the State during the afternoon and evening. Another cold front will approach western Victoria on Sunday night, then move eastwards across the State and weaken during Monday. A ridge of high pressure will extend across Victoria during Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMostly fine. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far east clearing this evening. Cloud increasing over the west with the chance of isolated showers tonight. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds inland and weakening seabreezes near the coast.Saturday 15 MarchScattered showers and local thunderstorms spreading eastwards across the State, reaching the east at night. Warm, fresh to strong northerly winds ahead of a cooler westerly change, reaching the southwest in the morning then extending eastwards across the remainder of the State during the afternoon and evening.Fire Danger -  High to very high.Sunday 16 MarchIsolated showers, mainly in southern and mountain areas and tending scattered near the coast. Cool with moderate to fresh northwest to westerly winds.Monday 17 MarchIsolated showers extending form the southwest to reach the north and east during the afternoon and tending scattered in the southwest. Mild with moderate northwest to westerly winds.Tuesday 18 MarchIsolated showers in the south and about the ranges. Mild with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Saturday.Product IDV10310
