Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad area of high pressure extends across Victoria. A deepening low pressure system will cross the Southern Ocean on Friday as an associated cold moves through the Bight. The front will reach western Victoria on Saturday morning, moving to eastern Victoria at night. The front will move through far eastern Victoria early on Sunday morning, as another front approaches western Victoria on Sunday night. This next front will affect mainly southern Victoria early on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine and generally clear. Light winds and weakening coastal seabreezes.Friday 14 MarchFine apart from isolated morning fogs in the south and the chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms in the far east. A warm, mostly sunny day with light wind tending northerly and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Fire Danger -  Generally high.Saturday 15 MarchShowers and local thunderstorms spreading eastwards across the State, reaching the east at night. Warm, fresh to strong northerly winds ahead of a cooler west to southwesterly change, reaching the southwest in the morning and the east at night.Sunday 16 MarchIsolated thunderstorms clearing from the east. Isolated showers, mainly along the northern border and near the coast. Cool with moderate to fresh northwest to westerly winds.Monday 17 MarchIsolated showers, mainly in the morning. Cool to mild with moderate northwest to westerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Friday.Product IDV10310
