MELBOURNE - Mar 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad low pressure trough lies across most of New South Wales. On Friday the trough will move west and weaken as a weak high pressure ridge develops along the coast and another trough/cold front system approaches from the west. This system will move through the state state during Saturday and Sunday and a weak high pressure ride is expected to develop over southeastern Australia on Monday. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayPartly cloudy in the southwest. Isolated showers or thunderstorms elsewhere, mostly over the central ranges and coastal districts. Northeast to southeasterly winds in the east, tending light and variable further inland.Friday 14 MarchPartly cloudy in the west and southwest. The chance of showers or thunderstorms elsewhere, more likely about the slopes and plains. Northeast to southeasterly winds in the east, tending light and variable further inland.Saturday 15 MarchIsolated showers, mainly in the south. The chance of thunderstorms in the south. Northwest to northeasterly winds, tending southwest in the far southwest.Sunday 16 MarchIsolated showers tending scattered over the southern ranges and slopes. Chance of thunderstorms in the east and northeast.
