MELBOURNE - Mar 10/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure will move across the northern agricultural area Monday evening, before retrogressing to the western coasts again early Tuesday. The trough will then move across the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts later Tuesday and the northeast interior on Wednesday. A new high will develop south of the Bight on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms about the West Coast district, Eyre Peninsula, southern coasts and the South East district. Mild about southern and western coasts, warm to hot elsewhere. Moderate easterly winds in the far north, moderate southerly winds in the south and light winds elsewhere.Tuesday 11 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms extending over the agricultural area, far west and the south of the pastoral districts. Hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds in the north and east, ahead of a milder, fresh southwest to southerly change in the west and far south, extending to a line near Ernabella to Leigh Creek late evening.Wednesday 12 MarchPossible isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Flinders and Riverland districts and the south of the pastoral districts. Possible isolated light morning showers about southern and western coasts. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Thursday 13 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the Flinders and pastoral districts. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate south to southeast winds and moderate coastal sea breezes.Friday 14 MarchPossible isolated showers and thunderstorms in the morning over the Northeast Pastoral district and developing from late afternoon over the Nullarbor Plain. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north.
