MELBOURNE - Mar 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure will move across western coasts Sunday evening and the agricultural area on Monday, before retrogressing to the western coasts again early Tuesday and extending across the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts later Tuesday. A new high will develop south of the Bight on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine apart from possible isolated showers and thunderstorms over the North East Pastoral district northeast of about Moomba, clearing by evening. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly and moderate coastal sea breezes, ahead of a fresh southerly change over the far west.Monday 10 MarchHigh cloud developing over the south, with possible isolated showers south of about Tarcoola to Adelaide to Loxton, with possible isolated thunderstorms about far western and southern coasts, contracting to the east of agricultural area in the evening. Mild about southern and far west coasts, hot elsewhere. Moderate northeast to northerly winds, gradually turning moderate southerly across the west and the agricultural area.Tuesday 11 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the agricultural area and far west. Hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, ahead of a milder, fresh southwest to southerly change developing near southern and western coasts during the day, extending to a line near Coober Pedy to Yunta late evening.Wednesday 12 MarchIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms over the southern Flinders Ranges and adjacent areas to the east, clearing by dawn. Possible isolated light morning showers about southern and western coasts. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Thursday 13 MarchFine. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate south to southeast winds and fresh coastal sea breezes.
