Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 8/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high will remain centred over the Tasman sea till mid week. A series of low pressure troughs will move across the State early next week, followed by a new high developing south of the Bight on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPossible isolated showers and thunderstorms over North East Pastoral district north of about Marree. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and early evening sea breezes.Sunday 9 MarchFine apart from possible isolated showers and thunderstorms over the North East Pastoral district north of about Marree during the early morning and afternoon. A mostly hot day with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh in parts in the morning. Afternoon coastal sea breezes. A fresh southerly change expected to move into the far west during the afternoon and evening.Monday 10 MarchHigh cloud developing over the south, possibly producing isolated showers near southern coasts and over western districts. Possible isolated thunderstorms over Eyre Peninsula and in the far west after midday. Fine elsewhere. Mostly hot with moderate northeast to northerly winds ahead of a milder, moderate southerly wind change developing near western and southern coasts.Tuesday 11 MarchIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms over the agricultural area and western districts. Hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, ahead of a milder, fresh southwest to southerly change developing near southern and western coasts during the day, extending inland during the evening.Wednesday 12 MarchIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms over and to the east of the Mount Lofty and Flinders Ranges, contracting east and clearing by midday. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds extending throughout. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon to midnight Wednesday associated with shower and thunderstorm activity will be in the range of zero to 5 mm.Thursday until SaturdayFine until Saturday, when isolated showers develop over the agricultural area and western districts, scattered in the Lower South East. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north with mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, ahead of a cooler, fresh southwesterly change developing on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
