Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure over the northeast of the State will remain there for the next few days. A high south of the Bight will move eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Saturday and Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine apart from possible isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Flinders and North East Pastoral districts, northeast of about Broken Hill to Hawker to Oodnadatta until late evening. Cool to mild in the south overnight, mild to warm about northern Pastoral districts. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh at times about coastal areas at first this evening.Friday 7 MarchFine apart from possible isolated showers and thunderstorms developing over the Pastoral districts north of about Coober Pedy and Leigh Creek. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Moderate southeasterly winds, fresh at times.Saturday 8 MarchPossible isolated showers and thunderstorms mostly over the North East Pastoral district north of Yunta. Fine and warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes.Sunday 9 MarchFine apart from possible isolated showers and thunderstorms clearing from the northeast corner of the State during the evening. Hot with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes ahead of a southerly change expected to move into the far west during the afternoon and evening.Monday 10 MarchFine apart from high cloud developing over the south possibly producing isolated showers over southern coasts later in the day. Warm to hot with moderate northerly winds ahead of a cooler, light to moderate southerly change moving over western and southern parts of the state. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon to midnight Monday are expected to be less than 1 mm in the south on Monday, and possibly 5 to 10 mm with shower and thunderstorm activity in the north.Tuesday until ThursdayHigh cloud extending over southern parts of the state, possibly producing isolated showers about the southern agricultural areas and western districts on Tuesday as a trough moves into the northeast of the State by the end of the day. Fine conditions are expected on Wednesday and Thursday with an approaching high bringing milder temperatures and moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
