Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough lies over most of New South Wales. The trough will deepen in the southeast later on Friday before moving west and weakening during Sunday as a slow-moving high pressure system moves over the southwestern Tasman Sea strengthening a ridge across the state. The next trough is expected to move over the state on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayPartly cloudy in the southwest and on the south and central coasts and on the far north coast. Showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds east of the Divide, tending light and variable further west.Friday 7 MarchPartly cloudy in the southwest and on the far north coast. The chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northwest. Showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, mostly in the afternoon. Southeast to northeasterly winds east of the Divide, and southwest to southeasterly winds elsewhere.Saturday 8 MarchFine in the southwest. Isolated showers elsewhere, more frequent along the coast and adjacent ranges, with the chance of thunderstorms over southeastern and central parts. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Sunday 9 MarchPartly cloudy in the far west and in the northeast apart from isolated coastal showers. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds.Monday 10 MarchIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy west of Divide.
