Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weakening high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards the northern New South Wales coast, while a broad, slow moving trough of low pressure lies over the state. Another high will move into the Tasman Sea tomorrow, gradually extending a ridge over the state over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayShowers and possible thunderstorms across most districts, although remaining dry in the far northeast and southwest. Showers and storms becoming more likely about the Central Tablelands and Central West Slopes and Plains during the afternoon. Southeast to northeasterly winds east of the Divide, tending light and variable further west.Friday 7 MarchFine in the southwest. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms elsewhere, becoming more likely in the southeast. Southeast to northeasterly winds east of the Divide, and southwest to southeasterly winds elsewhere.Saturday 8 MarchFine in the southwest. Isolated showers elsewhere, more frequent along the coast and adjacent ranges, with the chance of thunderstorms over southeastern and central parts. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Sunday 9 MarchIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of showers in the west.
