MELBOURNE - Mar 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure over the northeast of the State will remain there for the next few days. A high southwest of Perth will move eastwards to be centred south of the Bight on Thursday and Friday and then over the Tasman Sea on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayThe chance of isolated showers northeast of about Yunta to Marla in the afternoon, tending to isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms near the eastern border. Fine over the remainder apart from possible isolated light morning showers about southern coasts. Cool about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north, with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 6 MarchFine apart from the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms over the North East Pastoral district north of Leigh Creek. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north with moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh at times.Friday 7 MarchFine apart from the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms over the North East Pastoral district north of Leigh Creek. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Moderate southeasterly winds, fresh at times.Saturday 8 MarchPossible isolated showers and thunderstorms over the far Northeast Pastoral. Fine and warm to hot elsewhere with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning to midnight Saturday are expected to be up to 10 mm with shower and thunderstorm activity in the northeast. Less than 1 mm is expected with light showers about southern and western coasts this morning.Sunday until TuesdayPossible isolated showers continuing over the Northeast Pastoral. Generally fine and hot elsewhere with freshening northerly winds ahead of a southerly change expected to move across western parts on Sunday then the remainder of the agricultural area on Monday.
