Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weakening low pressure trough lies over western New South Wales while a high pressure system moves east of Tasmania extending a ridge over the north coast. During Wednesday a cold front will move across the southern parts of the state, with another broad surface trough expected to deepen over the west during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the southern half, tending scattered over the southern slopes and plains. The chance of showers on the north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds, turning southerly in the south later and strengthening.Thursday 6 MarchPartly cloudy. The chance of morning showers on the northern coast. Fine over the far southwest. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms elsewhere, becoming more likely about the central slopes. East to northeasterly winds in the north and east, tending southerly elsewhere.Friday 7 MarchFine in the far west. Isolated showers elsewhere, with the chance of a thunderstorms over central inland parts. Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 8 MarchFine in the southwest. Isolated showers elsewhere, more frequent along the coast and adjacent ranges, with the chance of thunderstorms over southeastern and central parts.
