Australia -- Queensland Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A series of upper troughs will move east over southwestern Queensland during the forecast period. A weak tropical low lies over the northern Coral Sea to the southwest of the Solomon Islands. The low has been moving gradually southwestwards, and will likely continue with this track for a couple of days. Forecasts late in the week will be highly dependent on the development and movement of this low. A high over the Tasman Sea will weaken from late today, gradually relaxing the ridge along the east Queensland coast. The ridge will then be reinforced by a new high moving east into southeastern Australia on Friday.
