Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 1/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred south of the Bight will move eastwards to be near Tasmania on Sunday then over the Tasman Sea early next week. A trough will move across the south on Tuesday then another high will move to the south of the Bight on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from possible isolated showers until early evening about the eastern border area of the Murraylands, Riverland and south of the North East Pastoral districts. Mild to warm with moderate southeasterly winds and fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Sunday 2 MarchFine and mostly sunny. Generally warm in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds and moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Monday 3 MarchIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening over the North East Pastoral and Flinders districts to the east of about Leigh Creek. Warm about southern coasts, grading to hot elsewhere. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and moderate afternoon coastal sea breezes.Tuesday 4 MarchIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening east of about Lameroo to Clare to Marree. Warm about southern coasts, grading to hot elsewhere. Moderate northeast to northwesterly winds shifting moderate to fresh southwest to southerly in the south and west during the afternoon or evening.Wednesday 5 MarchThe chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral district to the northeast of about Oodnadatta to Yunta. Fine over the remainder apart from possible light morning showers about southern and western coasts. Mild about southern and western coasts grading to hot in the far north, with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 5 mm with shower and thunderstorm activity in the northeast and near the eastern border. Less than 1 mm is expected with light showers about southern and western coasts on Wednesday.Thursday until SaturdayFine apart from possible isolated afternoon showers over the Northeast Pastoral and north of the Flinders districts on Thursday. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north with moderate southeasterly winds, fresh at times.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
