Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 28/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over the south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards to be near Tasmania on Sunday then over the Tasman Sea early next week. A trough will move across the south on Tuesday then another high will move over the Bight in its wake.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from possible isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening about the eastern border area of the Murraylands, Riverland and south of the North East Pastoral districts. Generally warm with moderate southeasterly winds and fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Sunday 2 MarchFine and mostly sunny. Generally warm in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds and moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Monday 3 MarchIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening in the east of the North East Pastoral district. Mild to warm about southern coastal areas, grading to warm to hot elsewhere. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Tuesday 4 March
Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms developing about the South East and Murrayland districts and the far east of the Riverland and North East Pastoral districts. Generally mild about southern coasts and warm to hot inland. Moderate northeast to northwesterly winds shifting moderate to fresh southwest to southerly during the afternoon and evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be quite isolated with falls generally less than 5 mm.
Wednesday until FridayIsolated light showers about southern and western coasts clearing during Wednesday afternoon and early evening. Fine during Thursday and Friday. Generally mild about southern coasts and warm to hot inland. Mainly moderate southeasterly winds and fresh afternoon sea breezes near the coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
