Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough extends from Queensland to northeastern New South Wales and a high pressure system south of the Bight is slowly moving east strengthening a ridge to the north coast. As the high moves further east another high centre will develop over the western Tasman Sea during Sunday and the trough will move westwards and weaken. Another trough is expected to move from the west over the central parts of the state during Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated shower in the far northeast. Mostly clear elsewhere. South to southeast winds.Sunday 23 FebruaryIsolated showers on the north and central coasts, clearing from the south in the morning. the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the northern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh about he northern coast.Monday 24 FebruaryIsolated showers on the northern half of the coast. The chance of showers on the Alps and the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the far northern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 25 FebruaryIsolated showers on the far north coast and the chance of showers in the far northwest and on the far south coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds turning southerly in the far southwest.Wednesday 26 FebruaryPartly cloudy in the northeast. Isolated showers on the south coast and ranges. The chance of showers elsewhere. North to northeasterly winds turning southerly in the northwest and southeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Sunday.Product IDN10031
