Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 21/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high to the south of Western Australia will move slowly eastwards to be centred south of the Bight late Sunday, before weakening on Monday as another high develops southwest of Western Australia. A trough of low pressure will move into the northeast of the state on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPossible isolated light showers near far southern coasts. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coasts. Cool in the south, grading to mild to warm in the north.Saturday 22 FebruaryPossible isolated morning showers about southern coasts, and about eastern coasts of Eyre Peninsula. Isolated showers developing in the far northeast. Mild about the coasts grading warm in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coasts after midday..Sunday 23 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers north of about Oodnadatta to Moomba. Mild to warm about southern coasts grading to warm to hot in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Monday 24 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers north of about Marla to Moomba, with possible isolated thunderstorms in the same area but to the east of Oodnadatta. Mild to warm about southern coasts grading to warm to hot in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Tuesday 25 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers north of about Marla to Moomba, with possible isolated thunderstorms in the same area but to the east of Oodnadatta. Isolated showers developing about southern Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Becoming cooler near southern coasts, grading to warm to hot in the north. Mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 1 mm near southern coasts and in the Lower South East. Falls of 1 to 10 mm are possible northeast of about Moomba to Marla.Wednesday until FridayPossible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting south on Thursday and clearing by Friday. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms northeast of about Renmark to Marree, contracting northeast on Friday. Mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north with mainly moderate south to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
