Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 20/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low off the south coast of Tasmania will move southeastwards today. A high to the south of Western Australia will move slowly eastwards to be centred south of the Bight late Sunday, before weakening on Monday as another high develops southwest of Western Australia.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPossible isolated light showers near the coasts, easing and contracting to far southern coasts in the afternoon. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coasts after midday. Cool in the south, grading to mild to warm in the north.Saturday 22 FebruaryPossible isolated morning showers about southern coasts, and about eastern coasts of Eyre Peninsula. Isolated showers developing in the far northeast. Mild about the coasts grading warm in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coasts after midday..Sunday 23 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers north of about Marla to Moomba. Mild to warm about southern coasts grading to warm to hot in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Monday 24 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers north of about Marla to Moomba. Mild to warm about southern coasts grading to warm to hot in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday morning to midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm near the coasts and in the Lower South East. Falls of 1 to 10 mm are possible northeast of about Moomba to Marla.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers in the far northeast, clearing on Thursday. Isolated showers developing over Kangaroo Island, the Lower South East and southern Fleurieu Peninsula, extending over the southern agricultural area on Wednesday and Thursday. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north, with mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
