MELBOURNE - Feb 16/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak high pressure over the Bight will move eastwards this evening, followed by a front moving to the south of the State on Monday. Another high will develop south of Western Australia on Tuesday with a stronger cold front expected to move over the south of the State on Wednesday. A large high pressure system will then develop south of Western Australia and move slowly east later in the week. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north with mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Monday 17 FebruaryPossible isolated showers developing about southern and western coasts in the afternoon and evening. Mild in the south, grading to warm in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 18 FebruaryPossible isolated showers about southern and western coastal districts, becoming more likely about southern coasts during the evening. Mild in the south, grading to warm in the north with moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 19 FebruaryIsolated showers over the agricultural areas and West Coast, more likely about the southern agricultural area and increasing to scattered about the Lower South East. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds. Cool to mild in the south and mild to warm in the north.Thursday 20 FebruaryIsolated showers about western, southern and gulf coasts. Moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh at times. Cool to mild in the south, mild to warm in the north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday to midnight Thursday are expected to be up to 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts.Friday until SundayPossible isolated light showers about western and southern coasts, clearing by Friday afternoon, then fine throughout apart from isolated showers developing in the northeast on Saturday and Sunday. Moderate southwest to southeast winds, becoming east to southeasterly on Sunday.
