Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will move southeastwards reaching the Tasman Sea by Tuesday. The high pressure system will then remain over the Tasman Sea as a broad trough develops over Western Australia.
Forecast for the rest of SundayDry apart from possible isolated showers and thunder in the far northeast this evening. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds tending light to moderate northeast to easterly winds in the north.Monday 10 FebruaryDry apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Mild to warm near southern coasts, hot to very hot elsewhere. Moderate to fresh southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 11 FebruaryDry apart from isolated showers and possible thunderstorms over the north and west. Hot to very hot with moderate to locally fresh southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 12 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the west and possible isolated showers and thunderstorms developing over the remainder of the West Coast district, far south of the Northeast Pastoral district and the Lower Eyre Peninsula district west of Port Lincoln. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh east to northeasterly winds.Thursday 13 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the west and about southern coastal districts with possible showers extending over remaining areas west of about Keith to Adel;aide to Coober Pedy during the day. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder south to southeasterly change about western and southern coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the far north and west with local falls up to 30 mm in the west with thunderstorms, otherwise less than 2 mm.Friday until SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms extending over remaining parts of the state during Friday and Saturday then contracting to the northeast and clearing during Sunday. Possible isolated showers about southern and western coasts during Saturday and Sunday. warm to hot about southern coasts, hot to very hot elsewhere ahead of a milder southerly change extending across southern parts during Friday and Saturday and extending into northern parts on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
