Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 8/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high over the Tasman Sea will maintain a ridge towards northeastern New South Wales through the weekend. This will promote dry conditions, with hot days continuing across most of the state, particularly inland areas. A trough is expected to move across southern districts during Sunday with a gusty southerly change associated, then weaken and stall over central parts on Monday. Another high is expected to move into the southern Tasman Tuesday with hot conditions continuing west of the ranges.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayDry and clear. Hot evening in the west. North to northeasterly winds, fresh to strong on the southern half of the coast.Sunday 9 FebruaryDry and mostly sunny. Hot inland and very hot in the southwest. Northeasterly winds near the coast and northwesterly winds inland, strengthening in the south, ahead of a late, gusty south to southwesterly change in the south. Areas of raised dust in the west, mostly near the change.Fire Danger -  Extreme for the Eastern and Southern Riverina, Severe for remaining southern districts, Very High elsewhere.Monday 10 FebruaryPossible showers about central parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, mostly evening. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot west of the ranges. Northeast to northwesterly winds in the north, with a south to southeasterly change extending from southern to central parts and weakening.Tuesday 11 FebruaryIsolated showers near the coast, possibly extending to the northern inland during the day. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot to very hot in the west. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 12 FebruaryPossible isolated showers near the coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere.
