Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 7/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high over the southern Tasman Sea will maintain a ridge towards northeastern New South Wales through the weekend. This will promote dry conditions, with hot days continuing across most of the state, particularly inland areas. A trough is expected to move across southern districts during Sunday before stalling and weakening over the central inland on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPossible morning showers about the northern coast. Fine and sunny elsewhere. Hot to very hot slopes and west. North to northeasterly winds, freshening on the southern half of the coast.Fire Danger -  Severe Southern Riverina. Very High ranges and slopes. High remainder.Sunday 9 FebruaryFine and mostly sunny. Hot to very hot slopes and west. North to northeasterly winds, tending fresh west to northwesterly over southern districts ahead of a south to southwesterly change.Monday 10 FebruaryPossible showers about central parts of the coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot to very hot slopes and west. Northeast to northwesterly winds in the north, with a south to southeasterly change extending from southern to central parts.Tuesday 11 FebruaryIsolated showers near the coast, possibly extending to the northern inland during the day.
