MELBOURNE - Feb 7/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow moving high in the southern Tasman Sea will maintain a ridge towards northeastern NSW over the course of the next few days. Dry and hot to very hot conditions will linger over most of the state, particularly inland areas. A trough is expected to move across the southern parts of the state on Sunday, before stalling and weakening over the central inland on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayThe chance of isolated showers along the far northern coast. Fine and mostly clear elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds, tending southwesterly in the far southwest.Saturday 8 FebruaryPossible showers in the northeast, mainly during the morning. Patchy morning fog ranges and eastern slopes. Fine and sunny elsewhere. Hot to very hot slopes and west. North to northeasterly winds, freshening on the south coast.Fire Danger - Severe Southern Riverina. Very High ranges and slopes. High remainder.Sunday 9 FebruaryPatchy morning fog ranges and eastern slopes. Fine and mostly sunny. Hot to very hot slopes and west. North to northeasterly winds, tending fresh west to northwesterly over the southern districts, ahead of a a south to southwest change in the south.Monday 10 FebruaryPossible shower along southern and central coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot to very hot slopes and west. Northeast to northwest in the north of the state, ahead of a south to southeast change moving through central parts of the state.Tuesday 11 FebruaryIsolated showers near the coast, extending to northwest inland during the day.
