Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak trough of low pressure over western Victoria will move across central districts on Friday before weakening in the east on Friday night. A stronger low pressure trough will develop over the Bight during Saturday and will link to a low pressure system further south before entering southwestern Victoria on Saturday night. The trough will move rapidly across the State on Sunday, bringing with it a cooler, fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly change, expected through central districts during the morning and clearing eastern districts by late afternoon. A high pressure system will develop in the Bight on Sunday night, moving to the Tasman Sea on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine apart from the chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms about the central and eastern ranges during the afternoon. A generally hot day with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds. A milder southwesterly change in the west during the morning, extending to central districts in the afternoon and weakening in the east at night.Fire Danger -  Very high.Saturday 8 FebruaryHot to very hot and mostly sunny although some milder sea breezes about the coastal fringe. Light to moderate northerly winds, shifting milder southwesterly in the west at night.Sunday 9 FebruaryHot at first with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds. A gusty southwesterly change in the west, moving to central districts in the morning and extending through the east in the afternoon. Isolated showers in the southwest.Monday 10 FebruaryFine and mainly sunny. Mild to warm in the south, warm to very warm inland.
