MELBOURNE - Feb 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow moving high in the southern Tasman Sea will maintain a ridge towards northeastern NSW over the course of the next few days. Dry conditions will linger over most of the state apart from the far northeast where isolated showers are likely to clear by Sunday. A trough is expected to move across the southern parts of the state later in the weekend with temperatures increasing ahead of it. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers along the northern coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot in the far west. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Fire Danger - Very High: Hunter, Monaro-Alpine, ACT, Central Ranges, Northern and Southern Slopes, North Western.Saturday 8 FebruaryIsolated showers in the northeast. Fine and sunny elsewhere. Hot to very hot in the west. North to northeasterly winds, freshening on the south coast.Sunday 9 FebruaryFine and sunny. Hot to very hot slopes and west. North to northeasterly winds, fresh over the southern districts, turning northwesterly before a southwest change in the south.Monday 10 FebruaryPossible shower along southern and central coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot to very hot slopes and west.
