Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough is crossing northeastern New South Wales and a high pressure system south of the Bight is moving east extending a ridge behind the trough. As the high moves east across the Tasman Sea and the ridge weakens another trough/cold front is expected to bring southerly change during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers in the eastern half tending scattered in the northeast. Isolated thunderstorms in the northeast, possibly severe. Mostly clear in the west. Southwesterly winds extending throughout, gusty near the coast. .Wednesday 30 OctoberIsolated showers on the northern half of the coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost patches about the southern ranges. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 31 OctoberThe chance of showers on the southern half of the coast. Early frost patches about the southern ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 1 NovemberThe chance of showers and thunderstorms on the northern slopes and ranges and isolated clearing showers on the central coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds turning northwest to northeasterly in the southeast.Saturday 2 NovemberPartly cloudy.
