MELBOURNE - Oct 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough over eastern South Australia will track eastwards across northern Victoria on Monday. A high pressure system will develop over the Bight on Tuesday before approaching southwestern Victoria later on Wednesday and moving over the State on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayPatchy rain extending across southern districts. Isolated showers extending across northern areas and becoming scattered about the ranges this afternoon. The chance of thunderstorms near and north of the ranges. Cool to mild and mostly cloudy with moderate east to northeast wind, turning southwest to southerly from the west and freshening. Somewhat warmer in the far north.Tuesday 29 OctoberScattered showers in southern and mountain areas becoming isolated from the west during the morning. Fine over the northern plains. Cool with moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 30 OctoberIsolated showers in the south contracting to the coast. Fine over the north. A cool and partly cloudy day with a moderating west to southwesterly wind.Thursday 31 OctoberIsolated showers in the south contracting to Gippsland coast during the afternoon before clearing later. Fine in the north.
