Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low over Eyre Peninsula is moving eastwards and will reach the eastern states on Monday. A new high will develop to the south of the Bight on Tuesday, then move slowly eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea later in the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms over and to the east of the Mount Lofty Ranges and Flinders Ranges, contracting southwards to the South East district by midnight. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, ahead of a milder, fresh southerly change in west mid afternoon extending eastwards to reach Central districts by late evening.Monday 28 OctoberAreas of rain and the chance of isolated thunderstorms over the South East district south of about Keith, easing to isolated showers early morning. Isolated showers also developing over remaining coasts of the State and near the Mount Lofty Ranges. Cool to mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout during the morning.Tuesday 29 OctoberFine apart from possible isolated light showers about the coasts east of Elliston, clearing in the afternoon. Cool in the south grading to warm in the far north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh near the coasts.Wednesday 30 OctoberEarly frost patches over eastern districts. Fine apart from possible isolated showers in the Lower South East. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 31 OctoberFine. Mild in the southeast grading to warm to hot in the north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Thursday are expected to be 1 to 3 mm over the southern agricultural area with less than 1 mm over remaining coasts and ranges. Falls of 3 to 10 mm are possible over the South East district south of about Keith.Friday until SundayFine apart from possible isolated showers on Saturday over Kangaroo Island and the South East district. Generally warm on Friday and Saturday, grading to hot in the north and west, becoming milder over the agricultural area on Sunday. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, ahead of a fresh south to southeasterly wind change in the west and south later Saturday, extending throughout on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
